The Products
MDE launched the Koala tree shear range in 2014. Armed with a replaceable blade and made from high strength steel they really are made to last in any condition. The Koala tree shear has become a massive success around the world and continues to grow year on year with quality, reliability and innovation at the forefront of the brand. Designed and built purposely with a heavy chassis for a strong performance making it more resilient and robust than anything else on the market.
Koala 150
The Koala 150 is the newest addition to the Koala product family. The 150’s small size and precisely designed structure makes the shear good fit excavators from 1.5t to 5t. This powerhouse, weighing only 100 kg, cuts 150 mm tree comfortably. Thanks to its light weight and strong capsular structure Koala 150 fits to wide range of sectors including, utilities, hedge rowing and gardening.

The Koala 150 is the newest addition to the Koala product family. The 150’s small size and precisely designed structure makes the shear good fit excavators from 1.5t to 5t. Thanks to its light weight and strong capsular structure Koala 150 fits to wide range of sectors including, utilities, hedge rowing and gardening.
Koala 200
K2 fits well to small scale users, thanks to its simple operating, and all the way to the professionals thanks to its high productivity. It weighs only 215 kg, which makes it possible to use it even on a 2.7 ton excavator, but it also endures the stress from a 10 ton excavator. Thanks to the capsular structure and efficient bolted blade, 200mm tree can be cut neatly using a cutting force over 47ton. The K200 is the perfect choice for trimming limbs, bushes or clearing lanes and roadways through forests.
Koala 300
The K300 is the number one selling tree shear in our range due to its versatility to large and small scale operations. This all round shear fits excavators from 6 ton to 21 tons. Thanks to its light weight it provides a great tool to cut down the smaller brush as well as the big logs. The strong capsular structure in K300 withstands the tensions of cutting down the big trees and still the weight is being able to kept under 425 kg!

Koala 400
The K4 is the original and biggest tree shear in the Koala range. This first in the koala range to be designed and manufactured it paved the way for the Koala tree shear range. Designed for excavators 12t and above, with a 400mm cutting diameter and the cutting force of 3 times k2 I think you will agree this really is the king of the koala’s. Weighing in at 760kg it is built to withstand heavy trees in tough enviroments.
